Professional info

During my career, I have held Senior administrative and technical management positions with project management, business development and P&L responsibilities.   My background combines management, administrative, marketing, sales, business, and computer experience with the intelligent and innovative application of technical abilities.  As a manager, I have served as Department, Office, Branch, Regional Manager and Principal Professional for regional and national firms such as Hygienetics, HRP Associates, LAW, PSI and SAIC. During my tenure as a manager with these firms, each of my business units experienced substantial growth in their technical service areas and abilities, professional reputation and - most importantly - revenues.   In addition, my professional and technical staff advanced substantially along their career paths through my coordination and cooperation in mentoring them to reach their career goals.

As a technical professional I have provided a variety of services to my clients over the years, specializing in assessment, remediation, EH&S and regulatory compliance.  As you will note in my C/V, I have managed and/or completed remedial tasks/projects for a variety of Federal clients, including the USACE, ARNG, NASA, AFCEE, USDA, GSA and DoD. I have also assisted commercial clients with remedial projects under several state environmental programs, including voluntary action programs in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Ohio. Internationally, I have provided auditing and compliance services (EMIS/ISO14001), pollution prevention consulting and feasibility studies for companies such as Coca-Cola (Europe and Asia), DuPont (Agri-Business – Columbia, Brazil, Venezuela), Air-Products and Chemicals (Venezuela), Black and Decker (Mexico), American Tower Corporation (Brazil) and The World Bank (Moldova).

As you know, a major fact of life for every environmental professional today is the need to aggressively market the services of the firm to new and existing clients.  I am an experienced seller/doer and strategic planner for business development.  I have always had an active speaking calendar and have actively engaged in strategic marketing, planning, and sales in each of my positions.  I enjoy marketing and business development and have in-depth experience in researching and developing marketing plans, writing SOQs and RFR/RFP responses, and developing advertising and promotional materials for my employers.    In performing the various functions associated with my professional management positions, I have developed planning techniques, organizing techniques and the ability to effectively handle a high-demand workload.

My entire career has involved designing, planning, managing and estimating the costs involved in environmental projects.  I am experienced in the use of Primavera professional project planning and management software and have submitted hundreds, if not thousands, of SOQs and responses to technical RFPs. I am proficient in the use of the MS Office Suite, Publisher, Acrobat, and desktop publishing software.
